Packing Lists
Half Day and Full-Day Sessions
This list should be used for Half-Day and Full-Day Sessions. It is exhaustive. Remember that less is more when carrying everything around with you. Leave non-essentials at home. Please ask your Events Wild Leader which of these can be left at home for your specific session.
☐ Day pack (small backpack) that will hold:
☐ Water Bottles – filled (1 liter for half day, 2 liters for full day)
☐ Sunscreen; SPF 30 or more
☐ Lip balm (with SPF if desired)
☐ Personal favorite snack (make it easy and portable. No washing station available)
☐ Gardening gloves or protective gloves (for Enviro-Steward projects)
☐ Personal medications
☐ Clothing layers – no cotton. We will be outside for the whole session.
☐ Base layer (long sleeve shirt) or fleece
☐ Hiking pants, yoga pants or pants you can move in and get dirty
☐ Warm socks (you should be able to hike in these and be comfortable all day)
☐ Hiking boots (or waterproof boots)
☐ Warm jacket or rain jacket with hood (please consider the weather when selecting)
Optional:
☐ T-shirt
☐ Flip-flops or simple shoes you can get wet (sometimes we walk in water)
☐ Yoga mat (optional)
☐ Headlamp (optional)
☐ Small journal or notebook & pen
☐ Leggings or long underwear to go under your pants (please make sure you can move freely)
☐ Light gloves (to keep hands warm)
☐ Puffy jacket or other warm coat (weather dependent)
☐ Rain pants (weather dependent)
Retreats and Overnight Sessions
This list should be used for our retreats, extended environmental outings and other overnight outdoor projects for Events Wild. It is exhaustive. Please ask your Events Wild Leader which of these should be left at home.

☐ Backpack: 50-70L capacity
☐ Sleeping bag (15º-30º)
☐ Sleeping pad
☐ Sleeping bag liner
☐ Cup, bowl, and spoon
☐ Toiletries; with a ziploc for any waste
☐ Headlamp and extra batteries
☐ Sleepwear
☐ Long underwear (top & bottom) synthetic or wool
☐ Insulating pants (synthetic or wool)
☐ Parka or puffy style jacket (synthetic or down)
☐ Rain jacket with hood (this doubles as a windbreaker – bring it even if rain is not forecast)
☐ Rain pants
☐ Warm hat that covers ears
☐ Sun hat with brim
☐ 2 pair gloves – 1 insulating & 1 enviro work gloves (disposable or garden gloves)
☐ 2-3 pairs of socks (synthetic or wool)
☐ Gaiters
☐ Sturdy hiking boots (bonus if they are waterproof)
☐ Sunglasses with good side coverage
☐ Neck gaiter/buff
☐ Shorts / t-shirt
☐ Trekking Poles (optional)
☐ Camp sandals (flip-flops or light shoes you can wear around camp or in the water)
