Erika Klimecky  – Hi, I’m the founder of Events Wild. I tend to balance between exploring and organizing, between artist and writing, between speaker, naturalist, volunteer and athlete. I am as much a student as teacher, always looking for my next adventure. One of the gifts I received from my family was their love of our natural world. I also have a desire to protect it and help other people do the same.

From finding flowers and chasing butterflies, to environmental activism, our active participation in nature is where we should all be focused. Because nature isn’t separate from us, we are a part of it.
My favorite moments in life happen when nature and people come together for deep, meaningful, adventurous shared experiences.

I’ve been called a jane-of-all-trades, a do-er, and a catalyst.  In my free time, I study cultures and society, nature and ecology, write books, and make art. I love to introduce people to new and different ways of thinking about their lives. I’ve taught photography, art, outdoor courses, travel prep, crafts, culinary arts and many other topics. I’ve organized small companies, independent creators, and consulted with non-profits so they could realize their missions.
I believe a community is stronger when we can learn from each other. Let’s go!
